4th Grade
I am from Phoenix, Arizona and attended NAU for my undergrad. We moved to Colorado in April 2004 after traveling in an RV exploring the country for almost a year. I started in DPS summer 2004 working in their summer program and then substitute teaching while working on my Masters in Education. I started teaching 5th grade in 2006 and have enjoyed teaching both 4th and 5th grade over the years. In 2015, I was accepted to the MEMTA conference in NY where my passion for teaching science/STEM was ignited. In 2017, I became a National Board Certified teacher. When not teaching, I enjoy traveling, scrapbooking, hiking (especially with my Huskies), reading, writing and baking. My newest interests are paddleboarding and learning about AI and its positive uses in the classroom. I love the community we have at UPark. I love that students are willing to think outside the box and try new things/strategies.
