I grew up in Monument, Colorado, and attended CU Boulder. Go Buffs! Outside of school, I love to ski, travel, and be outside (but more a patio, the beach or a park with a great view and less camping or hiking 14ers). My husband Joe and I have two children, and little brings me more joy than spending time with them and getting to experience the excitement of childhood through their eyes. I started teaching for Denver Public Schools in 2006 and 18 of the 19 years have been here at University Park. What I love about the U Park community is you can always be yourself. UPark allows each person (student or staff) to be their most true and fullest selves, and that, I don’t believe, you get everywhere.
