I was born and raised in Vicksburg, Mississippi on the Mississippi River. I graduated from the University of Mississippi and taught third grade for two years before moving to Colorado. I enjoyed skiing with my family in Winter Park every New Years as a kid and always saw myself living out west. Like many other staff at UPark, I started my time as a para (in first grade) before becoming the first, fourth kindergarten teacher. I continue to love my time teaching first grade with my great teammates. I love all the wonderful outdoor activities that beautiful Colorado offers including rafting, biking, camping, skiing, hiking and seeing live music. What makes me most happy is spending time with my pup Snawfus and traveling with my wonderful husband.
