Complete Your Student's End of Year BESS Screener!
As you know, UPark does a lot to ensure that we provide a safe and welcoming school for all students. One of the ways we monitor being safe and welcoming is through the annual BESS screener. If you haven't done so already, please make sure to fill out a screener for your student(s) so we have a better understanding of how they are feeling about their UPark experience. Friday February 27th is the start of the End of Year BESS Screening window. The BESS is U-Park’s school-wide social emotional screener. BESS stands for Behavioral and Emotional Screening System and it is ~20 questions long aiming to assess our student’s behavioral and emotional wellness at school/ home. Parents of ALL students (K-5) can and should fill this out for their student. It only takes a few minutes and all you need is your student’s birthday and ID number (lunch number). ALL students will have a teacher rating. Students 3-5 will also complete a self-rating form (unless opted out during school registration). To access the BESS: please follow THIS LINK to answer the questions. The parent report closes April 10th, so please submit your parent rating by then.
Please reach out to Jordan McElligott jordan_mcelligott@dpsk12.net or (720)-424-3434 with questions or to request your student’s report. If you meant to opt out your grade 3-5 student for the self-report, please reach out to U-Park front office staff. |
