Here at UPark, our students have been spending the last few weeks learning about important Black Americans in preparation for our annual Black History Living Museum next Thursday and Friday, February 19th and 20th. We would love to have as many families as are able to join us for this great event! Look for an email from your students' teacher with information about the schedules for each class. If the times that your student's class is touring the museum do not work for you, feel free to stop by the school either day. We will get you signed in at the office and you can independently tour the museum. For those of you that have not visited the UPark Black History Living Museum before, this event involves each classroom selecting a prominent Black American, researching that person and creating an interactive museum experience to share their learning. Please click here to see details about last year's museum and to understand what this event is all about at UPark, where we celebrate Black history always. |
