For most of us, Christmas and all the traditions that we honor and celebrate during this time of year are focused on our children. This is because there is a mystery and hope and excitement in a child's world that we want to honor during this special time of the year.

We can, if we choose, honor our children and the qualities of life that we wish for them, all year long.  We spend much of each year at school with our teachers, friends, and siblings. What goes on inside our school depends in part on our ability as a community to support with our time and our money the ongoing needs of University Park Elementary.

"An Apple for the Teacher", which you may have heard or seen, is a way of saying, "Let's give a gift to our school that supports our valuable teaching staff and all the programs and materials that are fundamental to our mission at University Park Elementary".

Please consider, during this season of giving, a gift to UPark that will help us through the coming year. A tax-deductible donation can be made online at BlackTie_Colorado_-_UPark_Apple_Campaign, or write a check to University Park PTA and drop it in the office or in the mail box.

We encourage all those interested to attend the important January 2008 PTA meeting. This is an opportunity to participate in discussion about our goals and priorities for the coming school year.
