Two parents have been voted in for 2-year terms on the CSC (Collaborative School Committee)—congratulations to Linda Rundles and Katie Mochan. Thanks to everyone who participated in the voting process!
Last Day Schedule—students who do NOT ride a DPS bus will be dismissed at 11:45am. The students who ride a DPS bus will be served a cold lunch and picked up at 12:30pm.
Garden Meeting notes—The Friendship Garden, by Gracie Crabb room 111, was voted as our new garden name. We had some wonderful names to choose from. Thanks to everyone who submitted an entry. • Lisa Korner has started planting seeds indoors with her science classes. • Collette Hall, Kathleen Williams, and Megan Ryall have offered to coordinate work in the kindergarten planter. • Scheduling for watering the garden this summer is underway. Those that work in the garden can and need to harvest what is grown. Anyone can be put on the schedule to help. • We will have the tool box in the garden soon. Thanks to all that have donated hand tools.
Lost and Found—has lots and lots of coats, sweaters, hats, mittens, shirts, etc. Is your child missing anything? Please check out the lost and found located downstairs near the lunchroom. Everything is donated to a local shelter on June 2nd, 2008.
Lunchroom—meal charges will no longer be allowed. Please be sure to keep your child’s account up-to-date.
Children’s Museum of Denver—you are invited to Target Free First Tuesday Night, May 6, from 4-8 p.m. Join us the first Tuesday of every month for a free playtime with special StoryTimes! This is made possible by a generous sponsorship from your local Target stores. The Children’s Museum of Denver is located just off I-25 on Exit 211 at 2121 Children’s Museum Drive. Children's Museum Birthday Bash is a great party!—this year is the 35th anniversary of the event. The Bash itself is on Friday, May 30. Tickets can be purchased on the website: www.cmdenver.org. On-Going Fundraisers
Cartridges For Kids—Recycle your empty inkjet, laser, fax and copier cartridges at the school. We receive up to $8.00 per cartridge. We recycle old cell phones, too! These bring in up to $30 each for the school! The collection box is located in the hall across from the office.
Box-Tops for Education—Cut from assorted product boxes and bring to the office.
